Digital X-Rays
At our Inlet Beach office, we use digital X-rays over traditional X-ray technology. Digital X-rays allow us to take advanced dental images that are clear so we can see everything we need to. This helps our doctors make the most accurate treatment choices for our patients. Digital X-rays also provide less radiation exposure to our patients.
Intraoral Cameras
With the use of an intraoral camera, our team can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail. This allows us to uncover cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. It is important we spot oral problems early on, as they just worsen over time and can cause more damage.
The intraoral camera is so small you probably wouldn’t even notice we’re using it, except that it will display everything on the monitor. It is an excellent tool that allows us to provide comfortable and efficient dental care. It informs our staff on your oral health and teeth condition, giving us all the information we need to make informed decisions concerning your dental treatment
CEREC
CEREC is a technology for restoring damaged teeth and can be completed within a single office visit to 30A Smiles. Using the CEREC technology, your doctor is able to easily design and create a crown according to your tooth’s appropriate form and function. The advanced technology makes dental crowns stronger and more beautiful, all while retaining a natural appearance. iTero Digital Impressions
iTero is a digital intraoral scanner that takes 3D impressions of a patient’s mouth. Instead of having patients bite down on a putty-like substance and hold for several minutes until it dries, iTero makes it fast, easy, and comfortable for our team to take an impression of a patients mouth. iTero digital scanner also produces more accurate results so our team can be better informed.
The iTero digital impression uses a radiation-free laser and can be done in as little as two to three minutes. The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand so it is unobtrusive in the patient’s mouth. Our team can also start or stop the scanner as much as necessary throughout the process. Digital impressions can be used for many restorative treatments including crowns, veneers, inlay/onlays, bridges, implants, and orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign Clear Aligners.
CT Scanner
Digital CT imaging allows our doctors to provide quick, comfortable, and effective dental imaging for the most precise dental health diagnosis possible. With our CT scanner, our office can view 3D data for dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, impactions, TMJ treatment, airway assessments and sleep apnea, as well as full facial and jaw images.
Our team is able to provide patients with a 20-second scan that provides enough data for a complete diagnosis and is comfortable for the patient. The CT scanner is also safer than traditional scanners because it gives off less radiation. Our office is pleased to offer digital CT imaging for patients who receive dental treatment.
