Common Dental Emergencies We Can Help With

Severe Toothache

Toothaches can be caused by almost anything, from something stuck in your tooth to a bacterial infection. Symptoms of a toothache are most often:

  • Sharp, throbbing pain in the area of the tooth made worse by applying pressure to it
  • Swelling around the tooth
  • Fever or headache
  • Foul-tasting drainage from the infected tooth
  • A bad odor from the mouth

A severe toothache will not get better on its own and needs to be treated by a dentist. If you are experiencing a toothache, call our office to be seen for urgent dental care. Our amazing doctor’s will get you in and examine what could be causing the ache. From there, they will provide immediate treatment and/or set you up for a procedure that will ultimately resolve the pain.

Tooth Knocked Out

If one of your teeth have been knocked out due to extreme force to the face, you will need to seek emergency dental care. It is important you are seen right away because not only are you probably experiencing pain, but it’s possible parts of the tooth are still stuck and need immediate removal to avoid further pain and complications. Call our 30Avenue office as we offer same-day treatment for urgent dental care during our business hours.

Dental Abscess

A dental abscess is a collection of pus that can form inside the teeth, gums, or bones that hold the teeth in place and is caused by a bacterial infection. If you have an abscess it is likely causing you pain, especially when agitated by eating, drinking, or speaking. Call our Inlet Beach office to receive same-day treatment during business hours. You will not want to wait to be seen, as bacterial infections do not go away on their own and can spread to other parts of your body and make you ill.

Excessive Bleeding in the Mouth

Excessive bleeding in the mouth could be caused from infection, untreated injuries to the mouth, or underlying health issues. It is important you are seen right away, which is why we offer same-day treatment during business hours for dental emergencies. Call our office and we will make you a priority. We will determine what is causing your bleeding and provide you with

Testimonial from a 30A Smiles Patient

Dr Lindsey Hoppe went so far above and beyond for my sweet little boy!! He fell over the weekend and injured his teeth and tongue. She made great recommendations, earned Jack’s trust and followed up with us all along the way. He had to have one baby tooth extracted, and he’s doing great. Thank you, Dr. Hoppe!

I had an older crown fall out while vacationing along 30A, and had to scramble to find a good Dentist locally. I selected 30A Smiles based on their reviews, and it was a great choice! I was able to get a quick appointment by a friendly person on the phone, and once in the office Taryn & Dr Skinner were marvelous! A great team, they answered all my questions, and I felt very comfortable in their care. I ended up getting a fully new crown all done that same day. Great experience and highly recommended Dental practice!
